Divers search a pond near Boromratchonnanee Road in Bangkok for clues to the disappearance of Rattaphum Pimjaisai on Feb 4, before it became known that the missing man had died at Siriraj Hospital. (Photo by Patipat Janthong)Police on Saturday reiterated the conclusion of forensic specialists that a drug overdose led to the death of a car salesman whose body remained unclaimed at Siriraj Hospital for six weeks after his disappearance. He had a seizure five minutes after being taken to the Taling Chan police station, and rescue workers rushed him to Siriraj Hospital. Ten days later, on Dec 30, the hospital informed police that the still-unidentified man had died of liver and kidney failure. It was not until this week, when Siriraj Hospital identified the body during a post-mortem, that the connection became known.
